Who Is Jesus?
The most important question anyone can ask — answered simply from the Word of God.
The Bible tells us that God loves you and offers the free gift of eternal life through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. You don’t have to clean up your life or earn your way to God — you simply come to Him by faith. Here is what God’s Word says.
Realize your condition
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
The first step is to realize where we stand before a holy God. Every one of us has sinned and fallen short of His perfect standard — none of us is good enough to earn heaven on our own.
Recognize the penalty of sin
“For the wages of sin is death…”
Romans 6:23
Sin is not without cost. Our sin has earned us a penalty — death, an eternal separation from God. This is the wage we have all earned and cannot pay.
Believe in Christ's sacrifice
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
God loved us so much that He sent His Son. Jesus Christ died on the cross in our place, was buried, and rose again the third day — paying for our sin in full so that we would not have to.
Trust Christ as your Saviour
“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
Eternal life is not something we earn; it is the free gift of God. By faith, turn from your sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone as your Saviour, and receive the gift He purchased for you.
How to Call on the Lord
Salvation is not in the words of a prayer, but in trusting Christ Himself. If you understand these truths and are ready to trust Jesus as your Saviour, you can call on Him right now from your heart — something like this:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that my sin deserves death. I believe You died on the cross for me, were buried, and rose again. Right now I turn from my sin and trust You alone as my Saviour. Thank You for saving me and giving me the gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
