Pastor Josh Carlisle
Bro. Josh surrendered to preach as a fourteen-year-old boy on March 27, 1998, and there has never been a hobby or a passion that compares to his love for preaching — he would rather preach than do anything else. He and his wife Ashley are high-school sweethearts who married on October 28, 2006, and both are graduates of Tri-State Baptist College and Bethel Baptist School.
Before coming to West Virginia, Pastor Carlisle served on staff at Bethel Baptist Church in Walls, Mississippi under Pastor Ron Westmoreland for nearly ten years. In June of 2016 he and his family moved from Mississippi to Fairmont to give themselves to the work of the ministry here at Hampton Road, preaching the King James Bible and shepherding the church family with a pastor's heart.
Away from the pulpit, Bro. Josh loves the outdoors — bow hunting is his first passion and duck hunting a close second — and he loves getting his boys out in God's creation with him.
